Position Description

The Research Analyst II - Fixed Income will support the Capital Management Group (CMG) team and help drive the investment process through identification, analysis, and recommendations of potential investments in the corporate market, development of investment themes and portfolio strategies, and surveillance and monitoring of existing holdings.

Principal Accountabilities:
Conduct and document fundamental and relative value research.
Deliver specific, insightful, and timely credit research opinions, including buy/sell recommendations, interacting extensively with Portfolio Manager and team et. al. Demonstrate independent, creative and strategic thought on investment issues and generate value-added credit ideas.
Analyze economic and market data, industry trends, issuer credit quality and security characteristics to support investment decisions.
Identify and communicate trends and investment opportunities that improve portfolio returns and reduce risk.
Develop relationships with sell-side analysts, industry experts and other external sources to support research efforts.
Deliver persuasive oral and written communications regarding investment recommendations and rationale. Provide guidance to level I Research Analysts in Fixed Income.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years in direct credit/bond research experience in a total return environment or
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years in direct credit/bond research experience in a total return environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technological savvy; computer proficiency with Bloomberg terminal functions, Microsoft Office.
