Provides project management leadership through initiating, planning, managing, and controlling the work performed by individual project teams, for multiple, concurrent projects by using Parkland standard project management processes, methods, and tools.
Education: - Must have Bachelor's degree in a related field to include 35 contact hours of project management education. - Prefer Master's degree.
Experience: - Must have seven years of Project Management experience, managing large, complex projects. - Prefer experience in a healthcare setting.
Equivalent Education & Experience - May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: - Prefer Category I Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute.
Skills or Special Abilities: - Must be able to demonstrate an expert knowledge of Project Management processes and methodologies. - Must be able to demonstrate skills used in the development of work breakdown structures, project risk management planning, cost-benefit analysis, and project audit requirements. - Must have excellent oral and written skills. - Must have good organizational skills and be able to demonstrate both analytical/statistical and managerial skills. - Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel. - Must have excellent presentation skills, and personal computer skills in MS Project, MS Word, Power Point, Access and Excel software. - Must have strong database management skills. - Must have superior analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. - Must be able to prepare project schedules, budgets, and reports. - Must be able to build effective working relationships with a dynamic, professional team. - Must be client focused, with a commitment to excellence. - Must be a self starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and on an independent basis.
