This Manager will be responsible for overseeing the environmental department for First Citizens Bank. Responsibilities of this role include developing and managing the Environmental Program to ensure adherence to all federal regulatory guidelines. This Manager within the Credit Administration will support lending efforts by addressing questions and issues regarding environmental issues. The associate will make recommendations and ensures appropriate training to all lending and credit personnel regarding environmental issues.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with minimum of five years’ experience reviewing environmental reports with two years supervisory experience.
High School diploma/GED with minimum nine years’ experience reviewing environmental reports with two years supervisory experience.

Additional Requirements:
- Possess a strong knowledge of the regulatory environment and guidelines
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and develop an effective and efficient environmental compliance program
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage those processes
- Possess leadership ability and strong interpersonal relationship skills

Other Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
- Environmental experience in managing an Environmental Dept. within a Bank
- Strong knowledge and experience with RIMS

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and manage Environmental Compliance Program including workflow of both internal and external processes

Support lending personnel by addressing questions/issues relating to compliance with environmental policy, general environmental questions, and appropriate levels of action to take.

Support Credit Administration group with guidance and recommendations on environmental issues

Lead the training development and delivery of lending personnel on environmental process, policy, and industry issues

Manage associate performance. Responsible for ongoing knowledge, skill development and overall performance management. Regularly observe performance, provides reinforcing and formative feedback and periodically conducts formal reviews of associates' performance. Create plans to support acquisition, retention and development of talent and maintain focus on Affirmative Action objectives and employment equity. Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to including the inspection of time entry records.

Stay abreast of all environmental regulatory requirements. Develop policies, practice, and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance. Act as liaison with regulators on all environmental requests and communications.
