SME: Navigation & Control, Propulsion, Aerodynamics (Job Number:425877)
Support the development, testing and evaluation of platforms. Provide subject matter expertise in Navigation and Control, Propulsion, and Aerodynamics. The personnel supporting this task shall be available for Continental United States travel with the potential for some OCONUS deployments. Provide engineering support in assessing and prioritizing maintenance activities and upgrades to operational platforms and related systems.
Performs Systems Engineering activities related to development, operations, and maintenance including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- Clearance Level Must Possess: TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors and minimum 9 years of experience in system engineering either developing, integrating, testing or advising the government on the projects they are assigned to.
