SAIC has an opening for a Space Launch Enterprise Engineer who

possesses proven working knowledge of space launch systems and processes who will develop briefings and assessment to a variety of audiences and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership. S/he will support strategic planning as well as cradle to grave launch and launch support activities.

Duties will include:

- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
- Substantive experience providing risk assessments and risk-management recommendations to program managers in support of successful mission accomplishment;
- Delivers effective briefings/presentations/papers on complex topics for audiences that may be large and/or include high-level decision makers
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requirements and tasks and managing longterm tasks as well as short-term obligations
- Ability to effectively provide guidance to more junior level LSEs
- Interface with SMC/LR Program Office to assist in defining new client/customer launch vehicle requirements or changes to existing client/customer requirements

- Provides support to the launch vehicle acquisition process to include booster procurement, mission integration, and launch capability activities for client/customer missions (fact-finding, technical evaluations, negotiations, etc.)

- Develop requirements letters and provide briefing to OSL leadership in support of the OSL Requirements Review Board & Resource Control Board processes

- Support budget allocation and execution planning activities

- Facilitate strategic planning activities and draft acquisition documents in support of the impending New Contract Acquisition Strategy Council (ASC) and Contract Review Panel (CRP)

The Space Launch Enterprise Engineer will focus on: Advanced Programs / New Entrants, Supporting COTR; Developing capability briefings; Monitoring SV/LV Government/Industry for rideshare opportunities and Defining LV Requirements and support LV selection.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Masters and ten (10) years or more experience; Bachelors in a Technical field and fifteen (15) years or more experience; Associates and 20 years of relevant experience; or no degree and 25 years of relevant experience.
- In addition:

- 10 years space launch experience
- 5 years Government acquisition experience
- 5 years of customer/client experience

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Masters and fifteen (15) years or more experience; Bachelors in a Technical field and twenty (20) years or more experience; Associates and 25 years of relevant experience; or no degree and 30 years of relevant experience.
- In addition:

- 10 years space launch experience
- 5 years Government acquisition experience
- 10 years of customer/client experience
