Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Service Desk Specialist to join our team in the Bethesda, MD with possible limited travel in the NCR area (e.g., DC, Reston, and Quantico) and to alternate data center (West Virginia) to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Position Requirements: This is a customer-facing position with frequent interactions with IT leadership requiring excellent communication skills. Essential duties include:
Perform a variety of analytical tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment Perform with some latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions
Plan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications
Coordinate the activities of technicians assigned to specific analytical projects
Experience with service desk support, monitoring. and management tools (e.g., Siebel, E-requestor, Altiris, Jira Service Desk, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Business Class Applications, e.g., Exchange, MS SharePoint
Experience in managing all phases of Enterprise IT Operations issue workflow
Experience in IT Services reporting, tracking, and resolution
Researches and evaluates new concepts and processes to improve performance. Analyzes cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes and resolves issues. Assists more junior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians, specialists, and/or managers.
Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and leads multiple tasks, projects or teams. Oversees and monitors performance, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
Provides guidance and direction to lower level technicians, specialists, and managers.
DoD 8570 compliant certification. Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.
Experience with DODIIS operating systems Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2008, Linux RHEL, VMware ESX hosted on Dell 700, 900 series workstations, and HP 7000 server enclosures with 580, 460, 980 series severs.
Experience with Active Directory
Experience in setup, configuring and troubleshooting hardware architecture of servers, desktops, peripheral printing resources.
Training or certification in any of the following, ITIL, ITSM, DevOps, SAFe, Jira
TS/SCI with the ability to pass CI Polygraph
Requires Bachelor?s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
