Description
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Hardware Design Engineering Intern to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. From our Space Sensors Engineering Design office in San Diego, California, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective IR Payloads that are hosted on satellites in earth orbit.

This position is an Electrical Hardware Design Engineering Intern in the Space Sensors Electrical Engineering Group. Interns are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of design engineering activities that include concept development, architecting, implementing, and testing printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) including power supply, mixed-signal, FPGA, microcontroller designs. There are also additional skill development opportunities through participation in printed circuit board layout, signal integrity analysis, power distribution network design, technical trade studies, and evaluation of technology improvements.
The selected candidate will work closely with their assigned mentor on tasks that are beneficial to the intern's skills development and valuable to the programs with which they are working.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
