Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.
Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes.
Architects and designs database instances serving multiple customers and applications.
Performs logical and physical data modeling with an emphasis on prototype database implementations.
Tests new and updated operating system software, system file fixes and major product enhancements and reconfiguring system and COTS software.
Configure project and user environments and provides training and technical assistance working closely with System Administrators, users, and vendors.
Manage database content related to DoDAF Architecture, Enterprise and system level capability, enterprise and system level Requirements and related attributes and relationships.
BS degree in Science, Engineering, or Math with a minimum of 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in database design, implementation and administration
Current TS/SCI with ability to successfully complete a CI polygraph
Leadership and negotiation skills to work effectively in a dynamic team environment to resolve issues between different organizational viewpoints and implement the vision of senior government executives.
Superior interpersonal oral and written communications to support interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors in a range of positions, including many at very senior levels
Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
System analysis, current operating systems software internals and data manipulation languages
Strong knowledge of the theory, concepts, and practical application of databases in general as well as a deep understanding of RDBMS
Physical database design by studying project requirements; identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method; and coding database descriptions.
Current Level II (GSEC, Security +, or SSCP)
Skills and experience using Rational Rhapsody and DOORS Next Generation products
Systems engineering experience in the process areas of Architecting and Requirements Development and Management
Knowledge of MBSE approaches, methods and techniques applied to the development of integration of architecture and requirements products
