About the position:
Tower Leads will act as the single point of contact (FunctionalCIO) and be responsible for their designated functional Tower. Through thispartnership they will be responsible for the IS strategy, architecture androadmap for the function they support. The Tower Lead will be responsible for theSolution Delivery for the tower in addition to supporting and coordinating allregulatory requests including rates cases and mandates. The Tower Lead will coordinate all other IS functionsand be an active member of the US IS Leadership Team.
Job responsibilities including but not limited to:
Act as thesingle face and single point of accountability for IS for the functional towers.
Developstrong business relationships and partner with functional business leaders todevelop a deep business understanding and create multi-year IT plans that arealigned with the functions goals and delivered to time, quality and cost.
Leaddevelopment of 3-5 year IS roadmaps embedded within the business strategy.
Responsiblefor annual Strategic and investment plans for their towers.
Beaccountable for the Business functions IS need and Mega Processes for theirtower.
Be asecondary owner of 1-2 other mega processes that are not directly in theirdomain.
Supportdevelopment of cross-functional rate cases and be accountable for thefunctional and process aspects that fall within their domain.
Lead thepriority setting, sequencing and risk management of tower projects andprograms, resulting in a portfolio of projects and programs for the currentyear as well as the multi-year investments and deliverables.
Ensure that all programs are regulatorycompliant and anticipate near-term technology changes.
Responsible fordeveloping both annual and long term financial budgets for IS for theirfunction.
Build andmaintain a flexible, responsive, credible tower that has a high sense ofurgency, is customer-oriented, exceptionally responsive, and deliverscost-effective business value.
Responsiblefor developing the technical architecture for the function.
Lead a teamof Domain Technical Architects, Solution architects, business analysts andIS delivery managers for the function.
Ensureregular Service Performance Reviews are held with key stakeholders to ensure ISperformance is delivered in line with service expectations.
Maintain awarenessof IS service issues through formalized review sessions with key stakeholders,and establish metrics for publishing performance statistics to all relevantstakeholders.
Work withdirect reports and wider team to champion the development of IT leadership andprofessional talent, ensuring that effective IT leadership is in place andsuccession bench strength is defined.
Work withhuman resources, develop a culture that attracts and retains top IT talent.

Knowledge,Experience & Technical Know How:
Significantprevious experience in [E.g., Financial Systems or Finance] related IT BusinessRelationship role
10+ years?experience managing or influencing technical staff and project teams
Proven success in facilitating the development of and implementationof business initiatives, as well as improving the customer experience anddemonstrating the value of IT to the business
Experience working within a matrix structure
Bachelor?s Degree in Finance, Business/Commerce, Computer Science,Information Systems or related field (Required)
Master?s Degree in Finance, Business/Commerce, Computer Science,Information Systems or related field (Preferred)
Knowledge & Technical Know-how:
10+years of experience in IT leadership gained at highly respected organizationsknown for best practices and business value delivery in a regulatedenvironment.
Experienceimplementing major programs for key technology or business process for theirTower or Domain
Experiencedelivering programs in large ERP companies with multi-regional and or globalfootprint
Experiencedelivering solutions (e.g., SAP HANA, Hadoop, Maximo)
Experience deliveringenergy and commodity trading platforms (e.g., Allegro)
Exposure tothe Oracle publishing product suite
Strongfinancial and/or accounting acumen
Abilityto manage large multi-million dollar budgets
Shapingof IS strategy aligned with National Grid?s strategy Function budget andfinancial management accountability
Highlydeveloped skills in working through major organizational change
Collaborationwith a wide variety of internal stakeholders
Talentmanagement and driving team performance
Excellentcommunication and presentation skills
