The primary role of the Machinist I is to be responsible for Machining parts for Oil Field products using CNC Lathes (Okuma). Candidate will produce complex parts from a variety of materials, within close tolerances, without assistance.
Must be able to run and operate: CNC Lathe.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
Must be able to identify various parts used in assembly of products.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Will need to identify and use with proficiency the appropriate tools to prepare, strip and crimp appropriate wires used in assembly
Prevents/corrects assembly issues by altering dimensions to meet specifications;
Notifies supervisor of any issues, concerns, or need for additional resources.
Able to perform at an average of 70% efficiency or better, abiding by company standards.
Will need to maintain labor records transactions - utilizing company MRP (Great Plains).
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Must be able to abide by all company SOP's and safety regulations.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Must be able to eliminate waste and hazards.

Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:
Must have completed and achieved a high school diploma.
Must have 1+ years' experience working on any of, or all of the following machines: CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, CNC Lasers.
Prior experience must show manufacturing close tolerances of (+/-.0005"), and surface finishes of 16 RMS or better.0005."
Applicable certifications are preferred.
Candidates having worked in previous oil field environment a plus.
Must be able to read and write English fluently.
Must be able to communicate orally in English.
Must be able to pass both a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and a criminal background.
