Job Title: QHSE Environmental Manager SR

Reports To: QHSE Director

General Description:

The Senior Environmental Manager for C&J Energy Services addresses a variety of environmental issues for the company and makes assessments of the air, land, and water and sees to it that the company's actions would not impact the environment. The position is responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments, environmental audits, waste management, and other solutions to maintain compliance with regulations and assure no damage to the environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor and determine how environmental legislation and regulations will affect the company's operations and assets;
  • Consult with Operations regarding any current or potential environmental impact of any project ongoing or proposed and give recommendations on how to best proceed.
  • Advise corporate QHSE of going environmental projects
  • Apply for and help assure compliance with any required environmental permits for the company's assets.
  • Study and research ways of reducing environmental impact while helping the company to reach its short and long term financial goals.
  • Establishes and Implements the C&J Energy Services Environmental Standard throughout all C&J Business Units.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent working knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices in achieving compliance in multiple states
  • Good research skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • SAP preferred
  • An ability to motivate people to accept change
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
  • The ability to act tactfully and diplomatically while dealing with regulators as well as with internal leadership, Zurich filing auto accidents/GL claims, NM permit filings/payments, IRS filings/payments 2290.

Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in the Environmental Industry.
  • BS in Environmental Science or Engineering or equivalent degree with applicable experience
  • Strong computer skills
