JobPurpose:
The successful candidate will take responsibility foroversight of daily Procure to Pay operations, delivering process improvementswithin the end to end Supply Chain process (e.g. Accounts Payable, Procurement,Inventory Management, etc) and support the overall Performance ExcellenceStrategy.
PositionResponsibilities
The candidate will be expected to support thefollowing strategic activities within Procure to Pay in order to drive valueand performance for the overall Supply Chain:
Procureto Pay Operations Support
This role encompasses:
Monitoring thehealth of National Grid?s ERP system as it relates to Procure to Pay
Extracting dataand analyzing information from multiple systems to support and optimizedepartmental goals
Reconciling GeneralLedger accounts, preparing accruals and forecasting
Administering thecorporate card and employee expense reimbursement programs
ContinuousImprovement
This role involves working with the management team tosupport the development and implementation of the Supply Chain Process andPerformance Excellence Strategy. Thecandidate will personally:
Support managers,analysts and buyers on the New ways of working within the Service DeliveryCenter with ongoing regular engagement to sustain the journey to deliveringperformance Excellence and achieving lasting behavioral change
Build a networkacross National Grid to share best practice
Support ongoingdevelopment of end to end processes, to remove waste and increase value
Projectand Program Management
This role will include managing and facilitating teamson small to large projects to drive efficiency and value for Supply Chain andfor the supported business functions. Responsibilities include:
Coaching &facilitating teams to deliver tangible business benefits as it relates toprojects across areas Supply Chain
Organizing andfacilitating workshops to define issues and develop solutions
Managing small tolarge projects to deliver cross-business efficiencies, benefits and change
Developingbusiness cases (with benefits, costing, ROI)
Crafting &delivering presentations to management level
Supporting thePMO mechanism for managing projects and programs, including communications andchange

Qualifications
QualificationsRequired
A Bachelor'sdegree in a related area and up to 3 years of analytical or business supportexperience, or equivalent work experience is preferred; advanced degree/creditsare preferred.
SAP ECC knowledgepreferred
Supply Chainexperience preferred
Strong analyticalskills, using systems including Excel, MS Word, Access.
An understandingof data relationships across the Supply Chain end-to-end process and possessstrong data modelling design skills
Ability totranslate complex data requirements into robust and optimized solutions
Demonstratedexperience in process improvement including understanding of LEANtechniques
Ability toresearch, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize, verifydata, conduct independent analysis and identify inconsistencies.
Ability toadminister, analyze, interpret, create, initiate, resolve and implementmanagement policies, operating practices and procedures for the functionalarea.
Demonstratedstrong organizational and planning skills with the proven ability to managemultiple priorities of moderate scope.
Knowledge ofrelevant industry practice and legislation.
Knowledge ofgeneral accounting principles.
Possess goodnegotiation and influencing skills
Experience inchange management
Strong oral andwritten communication skills and the ability to operate with all levels of thebusiness including organizing and facilitating workshops along withcrafting presentations for senior management level
Knowledge ofcurrent trends within the industry and developments in legislation orregulation.
Knowledge of NationalGrid's business operations, company policies and practices.
Experience andproficiency in relevant company related IT systems
Demonstratedstrong oral and written communication skills including the ability tocommunicate effectively across organization.
Ability toidentify trends in data or resourcing processes that have been effective in thepast and applies them within National Grid
Ability to usedirect persuasion to influence others in the department and the wider business,using basic data, logic or a solid business case.
Demonstrated theability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with matters ofsignificant importance
