About the Position:
The role holder is required to provide a comprehensive support service to senior National Grid employees and their team by carrying out a wide range of duties to support and assist Senior Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents with project based and day-to-day activities.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Act as liaison with relevant project team members in order to ensure resources and materials are available as and when required in order to meet given project milestones.
Effectively manage VP and/or SVP calendar for meetings, workshops, appointments in the US and UK and plan and coordinate travel arrangements.
Carry out specific tasks in line with clear procedures and working practices in order to support Vice President(s) (VP) or Senior Vice Presidents in everyday work.
Maintain and update financial and other relevant information, through the use of spreadsheets, systems databases etc. in order to ensure data is accurate and easily accessible.
Collect data using a variety of standard sources e.g. company reports, government data and internet and input into standard formats and interprets and organizes information to produce accurate reports for use by others
Act as the first point of contact in order to support the resolution of customer queries.
Respond to customer queries relevant to department in order to ensure immediate response to problems.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Associates Degree or a Bachelor?s degree and 4+ years of qualifying experience or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications
Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to assemble and handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Experience in Procurement is a Plus
Ability to draft routine correspondence and organize/maintain files
Takes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptly and communicates effectively with external and internal customers to monitor delivery and satisfaction.
Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are accurate to ensure multiple tasks and projects are completed on time.
Identifies basic relationships, with the ability to prepare special reports by combining and summarizing data from several sources.
Recognizes and proactively addresses upcoming opportunities or obstacles and has the ability to investigate the situation beyond routine questioning.
