About the Position:
Deliver high quality learning experiences that meet clients' technical, regulatory and safety learning needs through A blended learning approach and support the design and development of learning solutions. At the highest level the role will act as A technical subject matter expert for the US.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Under the guidance of the Learning & Development Safety Manager, this position is responsible to design, develop, and deliver Commercial Drivers License training programs to provide the employees with the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to perform their jobs in A safe and efficient manner.
This position will focus on the delivery of technical, safety and regulatory training to operations employees.
Conduct training and administer testing and assessments.
Utilize the `Balanced Learning Approach' by supplementing formal Class room training delivery with hands on activities that simulate real tasks that students need to perform in their jobs.
Evaluate and modify existing training programs and training manuals to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with all regulatory, environmental, safety, and contractual obligations.
Act as A technical advisor to operations in areas of technical expertise and/or participate on various committees.
Conduct assessment of training needs associated with the introduction of new equipment, procedures, and technology.
Participate as A subject matter expert during the modification and creation of new technical training programs by the Design & Development area of Learning & Development.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
A minimum of 5-7 years of operations or regulatory experience.
Must hold A Class A CDL license.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening and presentation skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in A team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, self confidence when dealing with people and be A self starter .
Understanding of learning and development principles.
Working knowledge of personal computers and various business related software.
Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Rules and Regulations and procedures.
Hoisting and rigging experience Hoisting engineering license and Smith Driving is also preferred
Supervisory experience and/or advanced education in Engineering, Education, or A related field are considered A plus.
Ability to coordinate and work with state regulatory and law enforcement officials
Ensure that all Equipment used for Training meet Safety Standards
Knowledge of gas operations or electrical operations is preferred
Flexible and easily adaptable to new situations
Able to schedule classes efficiently while optimizing the classroom size and opportunities
Load Securement knowledge, regulations and practical applications.
Candidates may also be asked to demonstrate their presentation skills and knowledge of technical subject matter by conducting A short training presentation.
Note: Training Representatives are required to occasionally travel away from the home office to conduct training sessions throughout all of the divisions.
