I. Position Title: Truck Driver
II. Employment Classification: Non-Exempt Field & Shop
III. Department: Operations
IV. Reports To: Senior Area Sales Representative, Department Manager, or Division Manager as assigned.
V. Fundamental Objective: Perform all duties required for Truck driving position, including driving and operating vacuum trucks.
VI. Supervisory Responsibilities: None
VII. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A) Ability to perform Truck-driving job.
B) Responsible for all paperwork including field tickets, logs, time cards and vehicle inspections.
C) Ability to work with customers, field supervisors, and dispatch.
D) Must possess the ability and demonstrate the willingness to assist Field Supervisors as required.
E) Must routinely demonstrate safe work habits and assist Field Supervisor in conducting safety meetings as required.
F) Assist in the training of drivers including, but not limited to communicating safety, familiarizing drivers with areas, thoroughly explaining proper paperwork and training drivers on operation of equipment.
G) Demonstrate a positive and willing work attitude.
VIII. Minimum Qualifications:
A) California Class A Driver's license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.
B) Ability to do paperwork on a daily basis.
C) One year minimum driving experience.
D) Ability to pass company physical and driving test.
A) Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
B) Ability to effectively operate equipment needed for job including vacuum trucks.
C) Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
D) Ability to exert 100 pounds of force to push and/or pull objects.
E) Reach height of 72 inches.
F) Perform required functions to the Company's standards within 90 days of employment in position.
G) Must be willing to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts.
H) Ability to wear safety fall protection equipment that meets OSHA and ANSI standard Z359.1 requirements, which has a maximum weight limit of 370 pounds with a waist requirement of no more than 56 inches.
