JPSS SMD System Engineer Principal (Job Number:431464)
SAIC is seeking a JPSS SMD System Engineer Principal to join our Greenbelt team.
Description of Duties:
The candidate shall assist in the oversight of development and maintenance activities for JPSS systems. The candidate shall provide supervision to development activities, ensuring that designed and implemented functionality aligns with operational needs. The candidate shall provide supervision to development and test activities, to ensure that verification efforts are sufficient to determine the effectiveness of development efforts.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Strong background in processes for Telemetry, Commanding and stored mission data processes. A leadership role is desired.
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience (4 years) and 9 years of experience.
Practical experience with satellite operations. This can be in the form of developing software for an operational environment or leading mission operations activities related to mission data processes.
