?Candidate will be working in a human performance research area within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics
?Research will focus on generating and validating approaches and technologies that can be used to enhance understand the physiological effects of environmental stressors and objective measurements and assessments of a pilot?s cognitive state
?Work with potential pilots to evaluate human-machine problems, improve control methodologies, and enhance performance and safety features.
?Help define customer needs and develop and execute research to address these needs in both the short and long term.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
?Bachelor or higher degree in Physiology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or a related discipline
?Must have at least 3 years research and development experience in a relevant area such as Physiology, Human Factors, Cognitive Science or Neuroscience
*Must have an active secret clearance with a background investigation with the last five years to start
?3 or more years of industry and/or government experience
?Knowledge of aerospace physiology and factors affecting aviator performance
?Experience in research studies surrounding human performance and human effectiveness
?Familiarity with MATLAB and Labview
?Knowledge of current state of the art in physiological and cognitive sensing, human-system integration, and human-machine interface design
?Strong creative drive, and the ability to apply out of the box thinking to research problems
?Strong teamwork and research collaboration skills
?Ability to travel
?Experience in experimental design, defining research objectives, and statistical analysis
