This requisition is for a Level 3 Quality Program Manager (QPM) for the Vertical Launching System (VLS) Program, specifically the international VLS programs which is part of LM RMS, Cyber, Ships, and Advanced Technologies (CSAT), Littoral Ship Systems (LSS) Market Segment in Baltimore MD. Will directly report to the LSS Quality Project Engineer Senior Manager.
Will provide daily direction, as needed, to the Quality Center of Excellence (COE) support team (Product, Engineering, and Supplier Quality). Manage multiple contracts with different PMs and program teams.
Overall responsibility for implementation and execution of the quality management system as defined in the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) on their assigned program(s).
Responsible for interfacing, supporting and advising program managers to ensure alignment with business objectives and quality commitments. Must be
flexible and adaptable to ensure program commitments are met on time in a dynamic work environment. Position requires strong organizational/time management skills to manage multiple and, at times, conflicting tasks or commitments.
Experience in managing projects/tasks
Strong interpersonal skills to team with internal/external customers and program stakeholders, Strong communications skills
Experience and/or knoweldge for performing root cause analysis and
identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on
continual improvement practices.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and support Product,
supplier, and engineering quality activities on program.
Ability and willingness to travel as needed to execute duties and
Develop Quality BOEs in support of new work.
Have a sound understanding of processes for management of
products, technical requirements, change management process, risks, and schedule.
Must have competencies in the collection and analysis of metrics to drive program improvements and in quality budget
Certified Black Belt/Green Belt.
Domain experience in weapon launching systems
Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance.
Knowledge of LM RMS process and procedures
Experience on production programs
Trained and Certified Control Account Manager (CAM), Previous
Must be able to obtain Security Clearances as needed by the
