Our primary fiduciary responsibilities include the establishment of Investment policies and strategies governing the Investment of assets in various employee trust funds, and the appointment, removal, and monitoring of external Investment managers and other service providers who exercise delegated authority over the Investment and custody of trust Assets.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Portfolio Manager for Private Equity will provide support to administer and manage the private equity Investment program. Other key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
? Assist in the development of private equity asset class allocation and implementation strategies
? Research, source and complete due diligence on prospective firms
? Prepare materials for committee approval of investments
? Oversee, review and monitor existing private equity Investment managers. Make recommendations for follow-on investments
? Attend annual meetings and advisory board meetings as needed
? Assist with initial negotiation of business terms and contract reviews. Make recommendations regarding amendments.
? Develop and expand understanding/knowledge of the asset class through continued education including conferences, webinars and publications
? Review/develop operational best practices and support oversight of overall private equity fund performance, manager reviews and fee reporting requirements.
? Conduct special projects (e.g. analysis of private equity, debt, portfolio exposures, performance attribution, portfolio construction, Investment strategy and industry trends)
? Conduct and/or supervise research, analysis, recommendations and implementation of best practices in private equity fund management

- Domestic and international travel required

Basic Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
? A minimum of three to seven years relevant Investment experience which includes experience in due diligence of private equity Investment managers using internal resources as well as the utilization of external Investment consultants
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Strong computer skills, including Excel
? Excellent leadership and teamwork skills

Desired skills
Advanced degree and/or professional designation such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) preferred

Experience with co-investments is preferred
