The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is seeking world class talent in Mission Systems to be a part of a team that will carry on our 70 year tradition of making history in advanced aircraft development.
The position will be part of the Avionics and embedded systems development team for an ADP Program. The successful applicant will become part of a small, diverse team of system developers tasked with creating next generational Avionics, Communications, and embedded system capabilities and providing technical support to existing, fielded systems. The team requires passionate, motivated engineers with interests in embedded computing development, wireless communications, and flight systems hardware and software design, integration and test.
Applicant should have extensive experience with Avionics systems, communications, integration and test, and flight test.
Applicant must be capable of working independently in all aspects of designing and creating electronic system level solutions based on limited information. Applicants must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment on rapidly evolving projects. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The applicant will provide their expertise in avionics subsystems such as navigation guidance, communication data links, vehicle computers, mission computers, application of commercial networking technology to flight systems, and air vehicle subsystem interfacing.
Applicants with experience in the following areas will be considered a plus: electronic system-level design and development with FPGAs (VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog knowledge), C/C++ programming, embedded computing technologies and design techniques, high speed digital interfaces, System-on-Chip development, RF communications, various types of digital and analog/RF test and measurement, digital communications theory, network design and implementation, GPS, and inertial navigation.
Active Top Secret Clearance required.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Bachelor's or above Degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline
- Experience with Avionics or navigation or communications (data links)
- Experience in electronic systems level design
- Must have a final secret to start
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Electronic system-level design and development with FPGAs
- C/C++ programming, embedded computing technologies and design techniques
- Experience in network design and implementation
- Ability to work in an extremely dynamic environment
- Subcontract management experience
