Situational Awareness: Human Factors Subject Matter Expert with extensive experience in designing and implementing very complex, extremely large user interfaces (such as Space/Ground Control Systems, Electric Grid or Large Telephony/Internet Services). Designs and defines User Interfaces for new or existing complex computer systems. Leads integrated team with Customers to drive User Interface design. Creates integrated systems specifications, input/output processes, system performance and working parameters for hardware/software to support the User Interface specifications. Coordinates User Interface impact on design of subsystems and integration of total system. Provides technical guidance for systems engineers, database administrators and software developers in regard to the requirements of the User Interface..
This role calls for expertise in graphical user interface design tools capable of a massive number of connections to the real-time system and one that is able to display many more user controls than traditional user interfaces have been capable of in the past.

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Human Factors Engineering; focusing on system usability and designing system interfaces to optimize the users' ability to accomplish their tasks error-free in a reasonable time and, therefore, to accept the system as a useful tool.
Specific experience in designing and implementing complex user interfaces.
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a customer-facing, multi-agency environment
Expertise in visualization tools such as Java, Hibernate, RESTful web services, JavaScript, jQuery, and the Google Earth Plugin JavaScript API.

Desired skills
Domain expertise in Space/Ground Systems a plus but not required
DoD and IC customer experience a plus but not required
