Oversees the construction, management, and integration of Lockheed Martin commercial energy projects in concert with customer representatives, including project managers, construction managers, architects, subcontractors and trades in various building environments. Manages LM and subcontractor planning, delivery, installation, coordination, commissioning and initial operations in commercial and industrial building environments, with emphasis on interaction with electrical system, automated monitoring systems and utility requirements. Reports to Program Management Office for all phases of construction activities. Primary interface with commercial customer representatives for on-site energy construction projects.
Specific Job Description:
This Construction Project Manager position is responsible for on-time and on-schedule implementation of design-build projects, typically within firmed fixed price (FFP) delivery, for a portfolio of battery storage facilities to be constructed on commercial and industrial customer sites. Integrates project plans and implementation with other members of construction project, such as customer engineering, IT and construction staff, site owners? representatives, Engineer-of-record, LM subcontractors, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, delivery and rigging teams, and trades, for site preparation, battery project delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Projects are primarily comprised of concrete and electrical installation, electrical interconnection, data systems for performance monitoring, and commissioning.
Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Responsible for all subcontractor work performance oversight, scheduling, reporting, corrective action, invoice review, development and management of punch lists and closeout activities. Will have responsibility for multiple, simultaneous projects within the Southern California area. Works with LM internal team to plan and deliver construction goals in alignment with overall contract performance requirements. May directly supervise junior project team member(s).
Construction management experience, delivering multiple smaller-scale projects simultaneously. Advanced project planning, management and execution. Ability to read and manage to mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plans while managing contractors and trades. Experience working on-site in built, commercial and industrial building environment with architects and owner?s representatives. Problem resolution in logistics, scheduling, critical path operations. Experience with electrical systems, interconnection with utility and building electrical systems is highly desirable, as is experience with data monitoring and metering systems, which will be installed during the construction period, and used to monitor performance and establish Validation reports.
PE, CEM, LEED and other relevant professional certifications. MS Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word. MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
