This position is the FBM Director for Advanced Missile Programs. This position reports directly to the FBM Vice President and is responsible for leading all efforts related to:
*Defining, planning and executing (or enabling execution by adjacent FBM organizations) all R&D efforts associated with the FBM program (both internally funded and on-contact R&D).
*Shaping strategies for sea-based deterrence, to include concept of operations, system performance requirements, deployed system support and multi-decade program execution.
*Shaping strategies for adjacent sea-based capabilities (e.g., IR CPS).
*Developing technology roadmaps for future D5 follow-on efforts to include Missile, Reentry, NWS, flight test support, UK programs, etc.
*Developing strategies for collaboration across SMD & SSC similar efforts, to include GBSD, TCP, BMD, RMS, M&FC.
*Direct support to SSP in developing future program approaches to affordability, system flexibility, commonality, sustainability.
*Providing thought leadership across the FBM program, both internally and with SSP customer and peer prime contractor community.
This position collaborates closely with FBM Business Development and SMD Business Development to shape pursuit strategies, and to articulate the FBM organization?s long-range plan.
This position is part of the FBM Reshaping effort for 2019/2020. Position is planned to relocate to Colorado in 2020.
? Must have an Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
? Must hold a bachelors? degree from an accredited college or university.
? Must demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors.
? Demonstrated experience in building strong customer relationships.
? Ability to develop strategic program plans and leverage thought leadership to secure future business.
? Experience with Missile OR Reentry and strategic deterrent support systems.
? Knowledge and experience in the nation?s Nuclear Weapons Enterprise.
? Ability to think strategically and outside of the box; a demonstrated leader who can step up to various challenges as required by the program?s demands.
? Experience managing programs in excess of $75M annually.
? Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment.
? Demonstrated ability to leverage talent and build cross functionality.
? Excellent interpersonal skills with peers, subordinates, suppliers, senior management, customers (and their consultants) with ability to establish critical trust relationships.
