Pumping Specialist I


General Description


Pumping Specialist I trains to become a stand-alone Pumping Specialist II, who will be responsible for pumping services field operations including safety, customer satisfaction, service quality, and complying with all company SOPs and regulations.



Essential Functions


  • Develop supervisory skills and facilitate rig up and rig down
  • Assist Pumping Specialist SR. with operating procedures and ensure on the job safety
  • Learn and observe actual execution of pump operations
  • Comply with company SOPs and coordinate any necessary changes on the job
  • Assist Pumping Specialist SR with employee performance feedback and recommendations to management
  • Assist Pumping Specialist SR with preparation of job reports to customer and management
  • Assist Pumping Specialist SR by communicating with maintenance personnel on equipment status to preclude unnecessary equipment down time
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of all DOT requirements
  • Interact with customer and 3rd party personnel
  • Develop knowledge and process for Field Ticketing and Crew bonus sheets
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Take initiative within guidelines within the guidelines of Company SOPs
  • Willingness to learn and understand position/progression
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Proficient with data acquisition systems


Required Education and Experience


  • 1 year of applicable oilfield experience or equivalent either hired in or promoted into position
  • Possession of CDL and heavy truck driving experience
