Manage facility renovation, expansion and new construction ranging in minor to major in value from concept to final completion. Participate in design development, contractor/supplier procurement including recruitment, pre bid walk through and evaluation of bids, scheduling work and Coordination with all involved for scheduling and access, coordination of owner furnished equipment and furniture. Financial contract management, analysis of proposals, labor and material breakdowns, capital asset accounting, invoicing. Problem solving when conflicts occur. Manage contract performance of designers and contractors/subcontractors. Periodic and final Inspection of work for quality control and ensuring proper code compliance inspections are achieved. Obtain user Final acceptance and customer and satisfaction. Ensure proper Equipment asset management. Execute projects to meet or exceed customer need dates
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, construction management or similar discipline and 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction project/program management or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years professional experience. Diversity of project experience including small and large projects. Demonstrated excellence in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once. Proven excellent verbal and written communications skills and including the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, management and diverse populations. Track record of successful budget control and execution of projects in the millions of dollars including contract and supplier procurement process of solicitation for proposal, evaluation of proposals, labor and material cost breakdown analysis, purchase order preparation, invoicing and contract closeout. Basic understanding of laboratory, factory/manufacturing/assembly, and office space requirements. Proven construction skills which includes managing and negotiating with general contractors and/or subcontractors. Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of project management concepts to include: project schedule, scope, cost, risk and deliverables. Experience providing high quality customer service. Proven project management skills and strong organizational and time management skills including ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Seven years experience with in commercial construction management in manufacturing, lab and office environments. Large facility construction project and design experience. Demonstrated performance in a team environment showing a respect for others. Knowledge of federal osha, ada, Florida building code regulations. Understanding Equipment commissioning. Experience using micro station cad software. Demonstrated ability to read and execute engineering drawings and specifications. Proficient in ms office software programs including PowerPoint excel word outlook and project. Budgeting/Estimate preparation.
