We are currently seeking ambitious Sales Representatives to support our Electrical Contracting Wholesale Distribution business in New York which focuses on the 5 Boroughs and Long Island. Responsibilities for Sales Representative ? Electrical Contracting Wholesale Distribution
Develops prospects, network and maintains relationships with new and established customers for the purpose of driving sales for Graybar?s wholesale solutions/products in the electrical contracting arena.
Responsible for assigned annual gross margin budget by promoting, selling, negotiating and closing deals in electrical solutions/products in assigned territory in compliance with the Company's pricing policies.
Calls and consults daily with electrical contracting prospects and established customers to understand their needs and how Graybar can assist in achieving their goals operationally and financially.
Periodically visit customers.
Collaborate with internal team members such as CSR?s, quotes and finance.
Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively, and report potential claims.
Keep management informed of deals and local competition and market conditions.
Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements We Seek:
1 year of sales experience. Electrical knowledge, wholesale distribution or construction management a plus.
High school diploma/GED required. Technical certification or college degree preferred. Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business Administration or Marketing/Sales degrees a plus.
Customer focused and sales and results motivated professional with a can do attitude and a proven track record of success.
Team player is a must.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
Highly proficient computer skills. SAP knowledge a plus.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Willingness to travel as needed.
