We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our growing electrical wholesale distribution business lines in New Jersey.  
What are your responsibilities?

  • Provide a positive Customer experience in line with quality standards.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing Customer calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Coordinate prompt handling of Customer Service requests, including but not limited to order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims.
  • Integral point of contact for customers while keeping their best interests in mind at all times.
  • Provide Customer solutions by thinking out side of the box which can include researching hard to find products/materials.
  • Handle all Customer correspondence by communicating in a timely manner.
  • Represents customers in the event of resolutions for all disputes, claims and dealings with Graybar suppliers.
  • Participates in corrective branch actions resolving deficiencies.
  • Proactively and knowledgeably presents and sells Graybar products and services on all inbound calls.
  • Assists customers by providing support on product selections and applications.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Project Teams in an effort to limit rework, process efficiencies and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

    Requirements we seek:
    • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service. Electrical or wholesale distribution knowledge a plus.
    • High school diploma/GED required. Technical or college degree preferred. Supply Chain, Construction Management, Business Administration or Marketing/Sales degree a plus
    • Military experience in logistics a plus.
    • Customer focused and results motivated professional with a can do attitude to succeed.
    • Team player who also can work independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).
    • Highly proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite. SAP knowledge a plus.
    • Highly organized with attention to detail a must.
    • Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast paced environment.
