Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company seeks a Systems Engineer who will participate in the full system engineering, integration, and test lifecycle of tasks for the Signal Data Distribution Services (SDDS) program. The ideal candidate will immediately participate in the recapitalization, requirements management, design/development, integration, system testing, sell-off/acceptance, and risk identification of this vital national system. The candidate selected must be able to apply Systems Engineering skills to perform requirements analysis and allocation, trade studies, market research, technical evaluations, risk management, system/subsystem design, interface design, overall system analysis, end-to-end analysis, and functional analysis.
Candidate should be able to work under consultative direction with the Program Manager, Deputy Program Managers, or other senior engineering leads
Applicants must have good communication and Presentation skills, and should have prior experience working in a single IPT or multiple IPT environments.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active TS/SCI is required.
Some travel will be required to CONUS and OCONUS locations (15%).
? 15% travel domestic and international (up to 4 weeks at a time)
? Experience with the full systems engineering life-cycle to include requirements definition, architecture, detailed design, test, deployment, and training
? Proven versatility in scripting and automation tools for test is desired
? Knowledge of Cloud (AWS) Environment and a strong understanding of Network protocols/technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, Multi-cast/Uni-cast)
? Experience with facilitation of design with engineering development teams; as well as, development and presentation of content for major milestone events (PDR, CDR, PSR, etc).
? Proven ability to generate system engineering artifacts to include sustainment, recap, and new development
? Proven ability to perform hands-on integration and test of a mixture of COTS and Custom Equipment
? System installation and integration experience
? Ability to work in a team environment
? Team player with strong interpersonal, communications and writing skills
