The Systems & Technology Solutions Business Unit has an opening for a Senior Scrum Master to support the AMRDEC Software Engineering Directorate (SED) and the Precision Fires MLRS Program located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Candidates need to have experience managing multiple software development teams and must be very strong on Agile practices. The candidate must have a strong technical background and must be well versed with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.

Responsibilities:

-
Facilitate across multiple scrum teams acting as Scrum-of-Scrum Master on a daily basis to track cross-team dependencies and resolve impediments

-
Guide the teams and organization in Agile/Scrum best practices

-
Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to prioritize and manage program backlogs

-
Track and resolves escalated risks and dependencies, coordinate resolution with technology leadership

-
Maintain proper communication with all the technical functional areas and project support teams

-
Provides input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks

-
Facilitate defect triage meetings and manage the issue analysis process

-
Conduct key formal peer reviews, collect key metrics to foster a continuous learning environment and for organizational process improvement

Ensure Definition-of-Ready and Definition-of-Done criteria are being met

-
Facilitate common software requirements analysis across multiple projects

-
Assist Software Development Manager with overall continuous technical process improvements

Qualifications:
Required Experience:

-
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.

-
Minimum 5 years Scrum Master experience.

-
Agile Certification (PSM/CSM or PMI- ACP) or SAFe certification preferred

-
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

-
Experience leading multiple related projects in various stages of lifecycle through a rigorous engineering process.

-
Experience interfacing with other functional areas from Systems Engineering and Test Engineering.

-
Experience with Agile Toolsets for managing teams, tasks, user stories, and epics.

-
Experience adapting/tailoring processes to Agile/Lean principles.

-
Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles and practices.

-
Systems thinker who views engineering organizations and the SDLC holistically from a system perspective with inputs and outputs.

Technical / Tool Skills:

-
Current or previous Software engineering experience, preferably with C++

-
Knowledge of Agile technical practices.

-
Experience with various development environments, versioning tools, SCM.

-
Knowledge of Software Architecture and Safety concerns helpful.

Clearance Requirement:

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
