About the Position:

Leads the planning and deployment of methods, practices and resources through business practitioners to achieve performance excellence vision within business services. Specifically guides development of broad business capability, implementation of performance hubs and execution of high impact Blueprint projects to maximize attainment of business objectives and ensure sustainability over time.

Provides effective change leadership inspiring senior executives managers and supervisors to implement and realize the benefits of process improvement initiatives. Creates the ?desire? to change. Develops and implements effective change management and stakeholder engagement strategies to support and manage change as a result of process/business improvement initiatives. Builds awareness of process improvement initiatives in the organization.

Coordinates overall strategic change plans with Business Services Leadership and supporting business units to ensure improvement initiatives are aligned with business function objectives. Assists the business to ensure robust capability is built in the organization to sustain process improvements. Develops and leads review of appropriate measurements to drive business performance from supervisor to senior executive level.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
In support of overall Performance Excellence, drive business implementation of PEX methods, practices and resources through change leadership and direct management of business practitioners.
Work closely with Business Services Leaders to translate overarching goals into clearly defined business cases, annual deployment plans and performance objectives for business unit. Ensure alignment between enterprise road map (strategic performance excellence plan) and business unit plans.
Develop the high level capability assessment, change and resource impact view for the business unit. Collaborate with senior business leaders to develop subsequent investment plan supporting capability build and defined improvement plan including Blueprint project execution and performance hub deployment.
As a dedicated change leader, help create and drive a culture of excellence, continuous performance improvement, consistency and analytics. Ensure strategic stakeholder management is coordinated and carried out across the entire commodity.
Work with Business Services to develop and execute integrated change and business improvement plans across all processes for the business unit.
Coordinate with business units and practitioners to track initiatives and consistently measure impact/benefit for the business unit.
Work with key stakeholders to build awareness of process improvement and deliver the story to the organization (milestones, quick wins, regional successes, etc.).
Leverage other change management capabilities, including change agent networks or other internal groups or external vendors, as needed to support large scale, comprehensive initiatives.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor?s degree required in an engineering/analytical business discipline with 7+ years proven experience across maintenance, asset management and emergency response / resolution, ideally within the utility sector.
Influential, energetic and enthusiastic business leader, with the drive, ambition and resilience to make things happen and deliver outstanding performance
A strong, successful record in providing strategic leadership, implementing significant change and delivering against key business objectives
Significant experience managing large numbers of resources and activities focused on delivering superior operational performance and continuous improvement
Experience in leading and developing a broad team comprised of diverse expertise and skills
Proven experience at influencing senior executives of the organization
Ability to successful bring together and drive cooperation across diverse teams with potentially conflicting goals and objectives
Capability Requirements:
Analytical Thinking: Ability to leverage and analyze data to identify critical information, develop hypothesis and make actionable recommendations

2-3+ years of experience in a process improvement or continuous improvement role utilizing LEAN practices
2-3+ years of experience with project management, governance model development, strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment and reporting.
Black Belt in Six Sigma and/or Continuous Improvement (desirable)
Job Dimensions:
Direct Employees: 2-4 process improvement professionals
Indirect Employees: Change leadership responsibility for departments/businesses with 500+ employees
