Position will be responsible for the creation, and verification of inspection procedures & policies for component or aircraft inspection. Candidate will be required to review existing inspection requirements and inspection acceptance rates for assembly and fabrication inspection to develop statistical acceptance processes. Candidate will work with planning & Floor QA to identify inspection points for potential reduction, optimization, and origin of new statistical methods and practices. Candidate will conduct analysis of inspection pass rates and adjust oversight levels based on acceptance rates. Candidate will provide Quality Assurance oversight for planning assurance inspections for material and aircraft inspections, break of inspection and regression testing requirements and methods. Candidate will have sufficient knowledge of electronic work instruction programming methods to assist in and assure new or revised inspection analytical applications provide the accuracy and capabilities necessary to comply with Quality Assurance requirements.
Experience with aircraft inspection and verification techniques.
Experience with quality systems and inspection processes.
Specific experience with SFM
Experience with Statistical methods
Experience reviewing planning systems for inspection requirements
Experience with engineering drawing systems such as one of the following: PDM, JDL, & QADs,
Prior inspection experience in a factory or flight environment.
Ability to navigate eengineering specifications, drawings, work instructions, and other source data in order to develop written instruction.
Specific experience with LM Quality Assurance systems and engineering drawing systems including PDM, JDL, QADs, SFM, desired.
Familiarity with VAS, Configuration management systems or Lightning Track Advanced knowledge in MS Excel statistical calculations and various analytical charting.
Background with ICA and other Corrective Action Systems are a definite plus. Prior dimensional inspection experience or GD&T background are helpful.
