Job Summary
The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is seeking a Special Title Series (tenure eligible) Assistant Professor. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 25-40% Teaching and Advising, 50-70% Research and Scholarly Activity, and 10% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of August 1, 2025, but no later than September 1, 2025.

This position, onsite, based in Lexington, KY, and will emphasis on biostatistics and epidemiology needs in teaching and research. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, research and service for the College and University related to (a) teaching graduate courses with emphasis on quantitative methods, including biostatistics and epidemiology; (b) taking an active role in mentoring students working on undergraduate or graduate research projects, practice inquiry projects, dissertations, or manuscripts; © support of scholarship by acting as Co-I or Biostatistician on externally-funded grants, including assisting with data analysis plans and power estimation; (d) assisting faculty with scholarship, including manuscripts and proposals; and (e) service to the college, university and the discipline of nursing.

Additionally, this faculty position will attend college and program faculty meetings, serve on college, UK Healthcare and University committees as appropriate and collaborate with faculty on the development of scholarly and research projects, from project statistical design development through data analysis and interpretation. The required education and experience include an earned PhD in Biostatistics or Epidemiology, with at least five years of professional experience. At least three years of teaching and advising experience is preferred.
