General Dynamics Information Technology - Health and Civilian Solutions Division is currently looking for a Research Engineer to join our team to support our client at the Naval Medical Research Unit Center. This position is based in San Antonio, Texas.

  • Provide support of Research with the purpose to engage in professional fluidics engineering functions involving medical Research practices to support the laboratory's efforts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of biomedical engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Coordinate all design phases with contractor personnel (lab/project managers, other engineers, and technical support personnel).
  • Direct the integration, fabrication, and functional testing of systems after installation to insure that performance meets specifications and client requirements.
  • Resolve novel systems and design engineering problems which require the development of new techniques or the innovative application of new state-of-the-art technology.
  • Develop models of fluid flow in air and liquid systems

  • Bachelors Degree in a scientific discipline. Masters preferred.

  • 5-8 years of related experience in scientific Research and analysis.
