MHE Maintenance manager with Process Engineer skills passionate for optimizing operational processes

We are looking for a highly skilled dynamic individual who can fill the role of the MHE Maintenance manager & Process Engineer. This role supports the Operations team within planning, process optimization, process control and follow-up. You will implement new work methods and LEAN tools and while assisting in the implementation of the Global SOP (Global Standard Optimization Procedures). As part of the DHL Express Copenhagen HUB, which employs around 350 dedicated individuals in our state-of-the-art facility, you will contribute to our ongoing success. The position reports into the Head of engineering & infrastructure.

YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Engineering:
As our new Process Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing productivity, improving cost metrics, and developing process standards and layout reviews.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
? Analyzing existing logistic processes to identify improvement opportunities.
? Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline operations and boost productivity.
? Evaluating and preparing process methods and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of regional standards.
? Conducting data analysis to measure performance and identify bottlenecks.
? Leveraging technology and automation to enhance logistics efficiency.
? Monitoring industry trends and best practices to stay informed about logistics advancements.
? Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
? Providing training and support to team members to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
? Acting as a liaison between Regional/Cluster/Country business initiatives and the Engineering department.
? Proposing operational areas for study and presenting work plans to management.
? Assisting with and preparing daily staff operations plans.

MHE Maintenance Management:
? Oversee the maintenance and repair of all material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
? Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
? Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
? Efficiently manage maintenance budgets and resources.
? Monitor maintenance schedules for all material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
? Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment to identify potential issues and ensure safety compliance.
? Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
? Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.
? Monitor and control maintenance expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.
? Coordinate and oversee repairs, ensuring timely completion.
? Ensure preventive maintenance programs are in place to extend equipment life and reduce breakdown likelihood.
? Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
? Collaborate with operations, local maintenance, regional engineering teams, and equipment suppliers to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
? Identify opportunities for process improvements in maintenance practices and equipment usage.
? Analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding maintenance strategies.
? Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks or equipment.

YOUR SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
You will have a high level of responsibility and the freedom to determine how to approach tasks, making it essential for you to work analytically and independently, ensuring each project is completed successfully. You will manage both small and larger projects, using your attention to detail and systematic approach to monitor project status and developments. Additionally, you should possess the following qualifications:
? A relevant engineering degree
? Experience in methods, performance measurement, and implementing productivity improvements
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
? Working knowledge of facility designs and material handling equipment.
? Proficient with IT Software including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, AutoCAD 2D,
? Familiarity with project management methodologies and 5S
? Understanding of lean methodology’s & Six Sigma techniques.
? Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
