Job Description:

The Sr. Contracts Negotiator/Contracts Manager will participate in and help support the full breadth of contracts management activities from administration, negotiations, and other related activities in support of the Seapower Naval Radar Systems (NRS) Program Area. The successful candidate will primarily support the Enterprise Air Surveillance Radar (EASR) Program, the Navy's next generation radar for Aircraft Carriers and amphibious warfare ships as well as support the Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) as required. Ideally, the candidate selected will have the essential knowledge and experience to serve as the EASR Contracts Lead providing day-to-day guidance to a junior contracts professional. This position will be located at the Raytheon facility in Marlborough, MA.

Responsibilities include planning, drafting, organizing and executing proposals, fact finding and audit, contract negotiations, administering various types of government contracts and program start up and execution activities. The successful candidate will use his/her knowledge of the FAR and DFARS to review RFPs, prepare and submit proposals, structure business deals, formalize contractual documents, and interface with customers and Raytheon management to resolve problems and secure approvals. This position operates in a fast paced, dynamic environment in which new innovative, leading edge approaches to solving problems are highly encouraged.

Please note that this role will be filled at either Salary Grade Level G09 or G10 depending on the qualifications of the applicant of choice.

Relocation eligible at a capped amount is available to the selected applicant, if eligible per company policy. The capped budget will be discussed at the time of interview with the IDS Talent Acquisition lead for this role.

?U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of applicable business related Work experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARs, ITAR and/or related regulations
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws, and formulate recommendations to management
  • Experience establishing pre-negotiation objectives and proven negotiation skills to realize objectives
  • Experience reconciling RFP, Program requirements, proposal submittals and resultant contract
  • Ability to work within a team and foster trust from both external and internal customers
Desired Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of financial business principles and understanding of applicability to contracts and business
  • Experience developing solutions to unusual and complex contracting issues
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within team environment with customers and peers
  • Experience with different contractual vehicles
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor?s Degree. Preferred majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law, Finance.
