The Systems Engineering Integration and Test Center (SEIT) is seeking strong, technically sound engineering leaders committed and passionate about creating innovative, cost-effective solutions for complex remote sensing applications. The successful candidate will be a member of the Remote Sensing Space Systems Organization and will provide engineering guidance for the development of product based, integration, verification and validation through the life cycle of programs.


Duties will include Verification planning and coordination, test station specification, design, assembly, preparation, and maintenance; troubleshooting; installation & checkout; software integration; independent test & verification; test data reduction and analysis.The candidate will provide engineering work products to an Integrated Product Team (IPT), interact with adjacent engineering disciplines, and work with experts in various disciplines (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, quality, specialty engineering, etc.) in the integration, verification, and test of EO/IR or RF systems.The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated proven leadership qualities over large sized teams.


The System Engineering Integration and Test organization is accountable for all aspects of the definition of system verification architecture and Test and Evaluation strategies, corresponding planning and execution of detailed Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) plans for Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. Our business is ensuring successful program execution starting from program inception through delivery. Our center also designs and develops unique solutions for assessing system performance. These solutions include models, simulations and special test equipment designed specifically to stimulate and interrogate our EO/IR, LADAR and Radar systems.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering
  • Knowledge of verification methodologies
  • Experience with system or subsystem level Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V)
  • Technical background with EM theory, data analysis, RF systems, power systems or EO/IR systems
  • Advocate for application of systems engineering to product life cycle including test verticality, requirements development, flow, traceability, and allocation, functional analysis & decomposition, and EOIR system architecture
  • Experience building strong relationships and effectively partnering with internal resources, interested in developing relationships and working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication capability, and ability to work in an integrated product team environment
  • Motivated self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills shown through participation in professional, community and extracurricular activities
  • Must be a strong team player, have effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate good interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail oriented Experience with hardware IV&V, requirements verification planning, system acceptance testing, test data analysis, test program definition, and test procedure generation
  • Performing analysis using MATLAB/Simulink or similar language
  • Software IV&V experience
  • Performed troubleshooting of hardware and analysis; involved in FRB, FRACAS and FMECA
  • Experience in requirement management using Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) software
  • Recent experience in creating integration and test plans, designing verification and flight tests, and environmental simulation for system qualification
  • Experience with development system life cycle events (PDR, CDR, Test Readiness Reviews), requirements flow-down, traceability, interface definition and control)
  • Able to effectively juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Technical publications and/or patents
  • Familiarity with EVMS
  • Experience in the design, modeling, integration and testing of remote sensing systems and components
  • Knowledge of radar, or laser systems
  • Bidding and proposal experience
  • Program planning and execution
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and decision making abilities
  • Penchant to foster new technologies and business growth
  • US citizenship is required as this position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance with SSBI or TS/SCI

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related technical field
