The Systems Configuration Management Department is looking for an individual to contribute to a fast paced Engineering Team and work closely with the Office of the Chief Engineer to provide guidance, support, and solutions to configuration management issues when they arise.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, teaming and computer skills, excels at attention to detail, ability to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity, and a solid competency in project planning. A working knowledge of PDM systems is a plus.
The Whole Life Systems Engineering (WLSE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and are under configuration control. WLSE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLSE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. We are focused in two main areas, Product Support and Technical Data support. In the product support area the disciplines are reliability, system safety and supportability; on the technical data side the main disciplines are configuration management and data management. WLSE also provides program office and engineering support in the areas of earned value, engineering check and product verification as well as operational aspects of mission support such as field and technical support, repairs and spares management and Program Management support. The WLSE Configuration Management and Integrated Design Check Department at Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Tucson, AZ is seeking a Configuration Analyst II in Tucson, Arizona. This position requires frequent communication and collaboration with other organizations including Engineering, Operations, Property Management, Supply Chain Management, Metrology, Contracts, Facilities, Program Office and the customer. The candidate will be responsible for mitigating daily challenges while working under general direction with functional leadership, program leadership, and internal/external customers. As part of this activity, the Configuration Analyst will utilize a systems thinking approach in developing solutions to a variety of problems.
Candidate must have a proven track record of solving problems of moderate scope and complexity, have a general knowledge and understanding of Government, Customer, and Raytheon configuration management practices and standards; must be able to work under general supervision, with minimal guidance and direction on managing and prioritizing their workload.
Key Responsibilities include:
ØParticipate in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
ØParticipates in establishment of procedures for, and implements the introduction of, changes to engineering documents for an assigned program.
ØReviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
ØEnsures that customer and internal configuration management requirements are implemented. Supports change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
ØParticipates in the establishment and control of configuration identification processes and baselines.

·General knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles and take an analytical approach to solving moderate configuration challenges using Raytheon configuration management policies, procedures and tools (i.e. IPDS, Directives, CABS, PDM, Prism)
·Strong interpersonal and communications skills, along with the ability to coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
·Develop and present technical briefings to Leadership
·Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
·Identify and troubleshoot potential engineering and configuration problems, determine the impact on other organizations, network to determine the appropriate course of action, and follow through until corrective actions are completed
·Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
·Experience in Configuration Management
·Good understanding of technology and computing tools (Product Data Management or PDM tools, SAP or similar)
·Solid competency in project planning
Required Education (including Major):
·Minimum 2 years? experience with Bachelor?s Degree
·Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; Existing Clearance preferred
