Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning the sequence of operations for Assembly and Test processes, ensuring requirements are met while meeting cost, schedule, and quality goals, and enabling operator effectiveness
Determining equipment and tooling required for meeting Design, Assembly, and Test requirements
Development and validation of Assembly and Test processes
Validation of Assembly and Test equipment
Troubleshooting failures of electrical, opto-mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies
Analysis of manufacturing data and implementation of Process improvements
Review of specifications, procedures, and related engineering documents to ensure compliance
Providing assistance in tooling designs for assembly, and test equipment
Providing training and support of Assembly personnel
Analyzing product failures to determine cause and recommend/implement corrective action
Analyzing equipment failures to determine cause and recommends/implements corrective action
Can interpret Engineering prints to determine design requirements
Can develop Process documentation
Extensive understanding of the Assembly and Test of Electro-mechanical and electrical assemblies
Able to independently provide technical solutions to a wide range of problems
Experience conducting Process improvements, RCCAs, and FRBs
Highly self-motivated, capable of organizing and completing efforts, and interfacing well with engineers and factory personnel
Able to modify/extend working hours in response to Business needs
Proficiency with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products, especially in the collection, organization, processing, and presentation of data
Able to provide manufacturing feedback to design engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of adhesives.
Experience with assembly, alignment, and testing of Opto-mechanical assemblies
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor?s degree in science or engineering, and a minimum of 4 years electro-mechanical experience in high-technology field, such as defense, aeronautical, industrial, or equivalent.
This position can be a Sr Process Engineer I or Sr Process Engineer II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for this position.
