This position can be a Manager II Manufacturing Engineering orManager III Manufacturing Engineeringbased on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Job Description: This is a unique new opportunity where the successful candidate will supervise a team of approximately 6-8 technicians. This leadership role will oversee all of the requirements associated with the load testing and preventive Maintenance of Special Tooling and Special Test Equipment. You will establish operation policies and procedures to ensure compliance to the FAR and RMS directives. The expectation for the successful candidate is to build and develop his own team and they will execute at a highly proficient level. This position will report to senior leadership within RMS Metrology.
Must have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
Able to quickly work out of scope tasks and shuffle resources as required.
Develop processes, methods, and operating policies to support load certification & preventive Maintenance programs for all RMS sites.
Establish Operating Supplies & Manpower budgets to support forecasted work levels.
Champion continuous process improvements that reduce cycle times and costs associated with preventive Maintenance and load certifications of equipment.
Manage a team of salary leads and technicians, and ensure the group is in compliance with Raytheon directives and industry regulations.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing, metrology, machining, or engineering design environment.
8 years of experience in a manufacturing, metrology, machining, or engineering design environment with increasing roles of responsibilities
Basic understanding of Metrology standards and processes
Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blue print reading
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Project) applications.
Strong team building skills
5 years of experience championing process improvements
Knowledgeable of the requirements associated with the Maintenance of Special Tooling & Special Test Equipment.
Knowledgeable of the requirements associated with the Property Management requirements associated with Government owned property
SAP/Prism knowledge and proficiency
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles
Education: Bachelor?s Degree; Equivalent Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
Desired Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Business/Management.
