This is a Hardware Quality Engineering deployment position supporting the LM Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) F-35 Training Systems (TS) Program, based in Orlando, FL. Expected to travel 50% or more to both CONUS and OCONUS F-35 Customer Sites.

The position will interface directly with the F-35 Training System (TS) Deployment and Sustainment Quality Program Manager on Product Quality Assurance (PQA) work tasks/priorities and functionally reports to the LM RMS PQA Center of Excellence (COE) Manager for F-35 TS. Will be expected to quickly come-up to speed with the F-35 TS products, Hardware PQA work scope, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedule. The F-35 Quality Engineer?s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Help Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, and participate/interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements
? Ability to evaluate data to identify systemic issues and trends
? Provide inputs to the Hardware Quality Engineering Lead to ensure sound labor estimates on ECPs and on-going proposal efforts
? Participate in the F-35 TS change control process boards (ERC/CRB), as required
? Witness F-35 TS integration and test activities and formal quality testing, as required
? Support deployment of F-35 TS deliverables to global customer sites, ensuring successful customer acceptance at site
? Support F-35 TS production, test, and DCMA acceptance at source efforts in between deployments
? Ability to support a flexible travel schedule to both domestic and international customer sites to support product installation and sell-off and audit activities. 50% ? 75%

Basic Qualifications
Excellent communication skills. Must have a demonstrated history of strong performance and ability to take initiative across a variety of QA responsibilities/tasks on development and/or sustainment programs. AS9100 knowledge. Proven audit experience. Must possess secret clearance. Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Familiarity with Hardware Engineering requirements, design, integration and test. Good understanding of hardware dependencies, development lifecycles, process flow and development methodologies. Must have a valid passport with a minimum of 12 months before expiration date. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and have strong documentation and follow through skills. Must be able to work independently at customer field sites.

Desired skills
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of quality engineering experience. DoD contract experience. Knowledge of LM RMS process and procedures. Lean/Six Sigma black (or green) belt. Knowledge of software development lifecycles such as Agile Development. Knowledge of C/C++, C#, Java and Scripting Languagesproduction quality, flow, and procedures. Experience with installation activities at customer locations, interacting with customer/Government representatives for acceptance.
