The Environmental Test Lab (ETL) is responsible for providing environments for validating the suitability and performance of new engineering designs and products. ETL also supports other testing such as Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), evaluation, re-qualification, lot acceptance, and combined environment reliability testing.
As part of the Environmental Test Lab, this job will require you to work as part of a team to provide various climatic and dynamic test environments to verify product performance and durability under varying conditions. You will install instrumentation, setup test conditions, monitor equipment and document results. You will operate various types of chambers and vibration systems and assist program engineers as needed.
Shift work is required.
6+ years of related work experience
Excellent manual dexterity
Able to work with hand and power tools
Able to perform single person lifts (<25 pounds) on a daily basis
Assist in two-person lifts (>25 pounds) as required
Able to work in tight spaces
Must be able to maintain focus in distracting and sometimes noisy conditions
Must be able to follow procedure instructions precisely
Must be able to clearly document observations
Excellent record-keeping skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter who works with little supervision
Experience working with electronic test equipment
Must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
US Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems
Pleasant customer service skills
Basic computer skills, Windows OS and installation of software
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Required Education: High School or equivalent with 6 plus years experience
Desired Education: AAS degree
