Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Information System Security Officer (ISSO), in the Chantilly, VA area, with strong Customer relationships. At ManTech, you will help protect our national Security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The IOS Division provides mission solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations. Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national Security. Our contributions to our customer’s success is driving our growth.

A qualified candidate will ensures AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with Security policies and practices. Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties in support of in-house and external customers. Also, perform duties as the alternate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

•Reviewing and developing AIS accreditation/ certification support documentation.
•Notifying the customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
•Performing system and network self-inspections.
•Providing Security coordination and review on all system test plans.
•Attending system technical exchange meetings.
•Identifying AIS vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures.
•Representing the customer on various technical review teams.
•Conducting Security surveys at subordinate facilities and gathering pertinent Security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.
•Coordinating, preparing and tracking AIS inspections, reports and responses.
•Maintaining AIS Security records.
•Advising on network nodes operating in subordinate government and contractor facilities, and receiving direction from the ISSM and government PSO.
•May provide work leadership for lower level employees and customer.

Specifically, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) provides assistance on IT and Information system Security issues affecting the mission of the NRO by implementing common Information system Security practices, policies and technologies.

Responsibilities include:

•Maintain operational Security posture for a program or Information system.
•Support Security authorization activities in compliance with NRO Policy and Procedures.
•Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
•Prepare and review documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).


Security Clearance Requirement:
Active/current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is required.
