Raytheon Intelligence, Information & Services (IIS) is currently seeking a Data Analytics Engineer for its Engineering Metrics & Analytics team. You will work with a team and will provide the Engineering processes, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and tools to support implantation of Data Quality Assurance Metrics and Data Analytics Framework, analysis of measures, change requests, and follow-on contracts as well as supporting ongoing programs. You will leverage your skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed Data analysis solutions and capabilities to tackle business problems. US Citizenship is required due to the candidate needing to obtain a US Security Clearance.


  • Subject Matter Experts on Data Analytics concepts and methods
  • Assist program teams with the proper use of IIS Metrics & Analytics methods
  • Understand and implement Data Quality Assessment Methods and identify appropriate measures to reduce Data defect frequencies
  • Understand the current state of Data Quality Assessment processes and tools across IIS Engineering.
  • Work with the Engineering leadership to affect change to ensure Analytics tools, processes and metrics are effectively used to estimate new and ongoing program(s).
  • Identify and configure state-of-the-art visualization and Analytics tools
  • Support maintenance of historical Data for use in proposals and for calibration of project Measures
  • Works with Stakeholders to identify issues/anomalies with in Data sets for resolution purpose
  • Solves problems and offers ideas to address internal client issues

Note: Candidates with a current US Government TS/SCI security clearance (or higher) are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 6+ years of solid experiences as a Data Analyst and/or Data Engineer
  • Demonstrated experiences conducting Data analysis that involve complex technical parameters, acquisition and logistics requirements, schedule constraints, procurement and business principles and similar cost-influencing factors
  • Demonstrated experiences with Data cleaning/sanitizing/massaging
  • Experience in formulation of statistical models e.g. Regression, Decision tree, SVM and so forth
  • Experience in using visualization tools (Tableau, SAS, Google Analytics, Qlik tools)
  • Experience in writing SQL queries (SQL/PL SQL)
  • Coding experiences in R/Python or any other programming languages
  • Experience in using tracking tools e.g. Rational Team Concert (RTC) , JIRA, Version One, QC
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Experience in development and presentation of, training materials, technical briefings, management status reports, and high-quality charts and graphs to visually demonstrate cost analysis to senior-Level personnel
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance and US Citizenship required
  • Ability to operate through influence across multiple sites and levels
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skill
  • Highly motivated

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and /or experience in cost risk analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile methods
  • Familiarity with text mining ( e.g., .txt and .pdf)
  • Experience with CMMI Level 3 process areas
  • Raytheon 6 Sigma Certification or industry equivalent
  • Familiarity with Spark ( R/PySpark/Hive), S3/Azure
  • Familiarity with big Data concepts (Hadoop, MapReduce, Google Big Table ? Apache Accumulo/HBase/Cassandra)
  • Familiarity with ML/Deep Learning /AI Concepts

Required Education (including Major): Minimum Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other relevant fields and 6 years of related work experience.
