Raytheon Blackbird Technologies is looking for a SiLK NetFlow / IPFIX Network Analyst who will join the cyber security team of a major nationwide organization, with thousands of sites, to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide network. This job will be located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Position can be a G09 or G10 depending upon candidate qualifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work within the CISO team of a large organization to promote knowledge of network analysis using SiLK.
  • Identify and develop new analysis, bash scripts, alerts, and visualizations to improve the future of the network security and performance.
  • Research problems and recommend solutions to improve visibility through NetFlow/IPFIX data analysis
  • Serve as a business enabler by providing insights to the Risk picture
  • Contribute analytic perspectives on improving the network infrastructure and the security architecture
  • Support development of analysis and visualizations in Splunk
  • Automate integration of threat data into analytic and visualization products
  • Contribute to SiLK analysis training for telecommunications and cybersecurity teams

Required Skills:

  • The position requires U.S. Person status or a Non-U.S. Person be eligible to obtain Authorization.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance ? Position of Public Trust ? and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance.
  • Experience with large organization networks
  • Experience in the roles identified above
  • 6-8+ years of IP network engineering or network analysis experience
  • 4+ years of bash scripting experience
  • Einstein System Functions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools, especially Excel and Visio
  • Must be able to travel between Washington DC and Falls Church (Merrifield) VA as required
  • Be able to support limited domestic travel (<5 %)

Desired Skills:

  • Splunk data integration, analysis, dashboard development, visualizations
  • Experience with statistical analytics product development and deployment (Threshold Random Walk, Bayesian
  • Logistic Regression etc.)
  • Python programming, preferably also PySiLK experience
  • Experience with cyber security development projects and programs for U.S. Government and/or commercial clients


  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Technical specialty such as cyber security, computer science, management information systems or related disciplines, or a technically related field; or equivalent related work experience in a multi-site software services environment, or related project management experience. Master's degree preferred.

Certifications (one or more):
Any Linux, Unix, network engineering, network analysis, statistical analysis certification
