Job Title:
Senior Systems Engineer I

Job Description:
System Engineer responsible for planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions to integrate total Systems or subsystems using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products (COTS/Open Source). Candidate must have experience performing all of the following tasks: system integration and testing; installation plans development; system testing and demonstrations; maintenance, system trouble shooting, end-user coordination; scheduling, preparation, and integration of new capabilities or Systems; Basic to advanced knowledge of electronics is essential in support of hardware installation and Systems support. Candidates must be able to work effectively as a member of a team, apply risk management procedures to all aspects of daily duties, develop and recommend sound courses of action to complex problem sets.

  • Provide tier level I and II IT support to a wide customer base
  • Support the development of system-level requirements
  • Conduct integration testing
  • Develop and conduct integration test plans and procedures
  • System maintenance
  • Support the creation of Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Manage system hardware configurations
  • Conduct workstation and server installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Support complex network environments including problem analysis; network troubleshooting, and network maintenance
  • System performance testing, monitoring, tuning and analysis
  • Specific responsibilities include board-level assembly and repair of precision electronic Systems

Required Skills:
  • Must have an Active TS/SCI security clearance on the 1st day of employment
  • A+ certification or one or more of the following security certifications: Security+, Network+
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate hardware and software Systems, rack and install hardware, network and fiber cables, COTS material
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network operations
  • Clear writing and English language skills (for preparation of technical documentation)
  • Experience with requirements and specifications of Windows hardware
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based operating Systems
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Daily duties and responsibilities require employees to work in ceilings, under raised floors, lift and carry objects over 50 lbs
  • Position requires frequent long periods of standing, sitting, laying on back or mobility from place to place including between floors
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in information technology and/or electronics maintenance OR equivalent years of experience within the technology field may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
  • Existing TS/SCI
  • Knowledge of DoD system lifecycle
  • Information Assurance Experience (i.e. DITSCAP)
