Position Title: Lead Accountant Management Reporting and Corporate G&A Accounting

Position Description/Job Responsibilities


This position performs various accounting activities including recording journal entries, reconciling balance sheet g/l accounts, preparing management reports, and conducting internal control reviews. Equally important is the oversight of the global cash application and fixed asset accounting processes.

This individual interacts with his/her peers, Finance management, and other functional areas in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. He/ she will be expected to independently perform their responsibilities and lead others in achieving various initiatives, and at times, with little support from the senior manager.

Personal traits such as planning and organizing, oral and written communications skills, and a collaborative personality are needed to perform effectively. Technical abilities include experience with SAP, Hyperion and other ERP software, Excel / Word / Access proficiency, and an understanding of GAAP.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Management Reporting and Corporate G&A Accounting.


  • Prepare reports and analyze Debt Covenant ratios and compliance criteria
  • Prepare journal entries monthly for various corporate allocations; periodically record post close entries into SAP
  • Oversee global cash application and fixed asset accounting and processes
  • Prepare quarterly Roll Forward schedules for loss reserves, US Gov’t AR and Unbilled Revenue, and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts
  • Reconcile B/S accounts monthly and document in external software; perform quarterly SOX controls and reviews; maintain position’s SOP’s and work templates
  • Provide monthly/quarterly reports and analysis to internal & external auditors and respond regarding periodic information requests
  • Work with the Finance team to streamline processes for efficiency and effectiveness and deliver more useful reports and analysis
  • Lead peers in various projects; participate in department process improvement initiatives



  • Accounting Degree (advanced degree or CPA preferred)
  • Demonstrated work experience in application of GAAP (5-7 years)
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion HFM, Essbase & Planning knowledge (preferred)
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office and other tools with demonstrated use in past work experience
  • Project management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and working independently
  • Demonstrated leadership, beyond formal authority
  • Public accounting experience is desired but not required
