As a Quality Assurance Engineer I within Supplier Quality, your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Engineering review of drawings and related documentation to determine appropriate quality requirements for purchased parts
  • Identification of appropriate approved suppliers for parts being procured
  • Assisting in resolution of requests from suppliers and buyers on supplier quality requirements and approved supplier issues. Working closely with members of supplier quality, supply chain, program quality and engineering to address issues preventing material procurement.
  • Coordinating with incoming inspection on disposition of nonconforming material provided by suppliers.
  • Analyzing process data and supporting projects to improve Supplier Quality core processes.
  • This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Required Skills:
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • High energy, self – starter with ability to perform work under general direction
Desired Skills:
  • 2 years of experience in a Technical Discipline (such as Engineering or Quality).
  • Previous work experience, engineering experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability in developing solutions to issues using an organized systemic approach
  • Experience developing and analyzing data, using the information to understand current state and predict future performance.
  • Experience with SAP
Required Education:
  • BS Engineering, Science, Math or relevant major.
