Raytheon US Business Development field office located in Aberdeen, MD. The Aberdeen / Picatinny Regional Field Office manager has corporate business development responsibility for Aberdeen Army Proving Grounds, Joint Base Ft Dix, McGuire, Lakehurst, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, Tobyhanna Army Depot, and Picatinny Arsenal. Responsible for business creation and to identify New opportunities (both domestic and foreign military sales). The Field Office Manager is responsible to supervise and professionally develop one business development expert and one administrative Assistant. The Field Office manager is the face of Raytheon for US Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM), Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S), Command and Control Communication (PEO C3T), Joint PEO CBD, PEO EIS, RDECOM HQ, CERDEC Labs (I2WD,S&TCD,CP&ID, SED) and the Aberdeen Contracting Center (ACC), and New Jersey Contracting Center for the US Army. The USBD Field Office Manager will assist all four Raytheon businesses with existing Raytheon programs, gathering competitive intelligence, participating in proposal and Capture activities (Gate preparation, color teams, black hat) and interfacing with customers on a daily basis. The Field Office Manager works with business and government counterparts in developing requirements for future procurements. The incumbent will also manage the business development processes and resources of assigned portfolio in the Aberdeen / Picatinny region to establish and grow working relationships with industry partners. Additionally, this individual will support trade show and professional conferences to help educate customers on Raytheon's capabilities, articulate the customer's requirements, and communicate competitor intelligence to Raytheon businesses.

Required Skills:

  • Twelve years of experience in Business Development / Marketing role in a Defense Company / or in a customer environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - including the ability to present and articulate technical issues to senior customers and Raytheon's senior Management team.
  • Solid understanding of Command, Control, Communications, Communication Electronics technology and equipment, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (C4ISR) systems and military operations.
  • Experience conducting market assessments, assisting in the preparation of business plans, including planning for marketing proposals and IR&D activities.
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment to create New business and identify business opportunities
  • Understand budgeting/procurement processes of the DOD and the Army, and the challenges of the acquisition process from requirements through fielding/sustaining.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
