About the Position:
TheProgram Manager is responsible for developing a cohesive strategy and managingthe overall performance of a specific Program. Thisincludes managementof large-scale programs delivering business change and benefits to a specificbusiness function utilizing a range of assigned resources.
Specifically, the responsibilities of the Program Managerwill include:
Achieving Program targets within budget.
Coordination of services, Program offerings, and key performance indicators.
Overseeing multiple projects in parallel and multi-task between tactical project execution and strategic delivery efficiency.
Tracking, proactively, the success of the Program and subsequent reporting results to leadership.
Managing teams for a portfolio of projects (10-25) that deliver business change and benefits utilizing a fully resourced portfolio plan for the solution delivery centres and partners.
Ensuring appropriate governance and compliance for projects.
Works with Project Manager, Business Relationship Manager, Partner Solution Architects and Solution Vendors to ensure the integrity of the solution as well as to ensure the business requirements are met.
Includes all phases of the project from Concept to Mandate to Sanctioning to delivery to post implementation support.
This role will focus primarily on Cyber Security.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Managing business stakeholders to Director and Senior Management level.
Leads the Program team located across the UK and US in translating business requirements into operational plans
Directs, monitors and reviews all Program activities, including Program costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, Program resources and Program risks supported by comprehensive reporting
Manages dependencies, risks, plans, costs and resourcing needs within programs
Resolves resourcing and asset conflicts using prioritisation and negotiation
Ensures that the Program implements changes which achieve the objectives that have been set and that the business benefits are realised
Guides senior business stakeholders to solutions that maximise National Grid investments in technology and influences their direction towards re-usable solutions.
Ensure effective transition planning to minimise risk
Manages Program change, through regular reassessment of Program priorities, resolving conflicts.
Undertake formal reviews of the Program and its achievements
Manages and influence stakeholders
Operates as a role model for Valued Business Partner, championing similar behaviours across IS
Managing a multi supplier eco system to deliver project objectives.
Managing and assuring a portfolio of projects where the individual projects are managed by solution delivery partners.
Responsible for the delivery of the full scope of any projects managed by National Grid.
Responsible for ensuring the Investment proposals are deliverable.
Ensuring all projects are properly estimated and costed.
Ensuring proper governance and compliance.

Supporting the Business Relationship Management team and business analysts to develop investment papers with solution proposals that meet the business requirements.

The Program Manager will be responsible for a number of projects (10-25) across the CSP2 Portfolio, dependent upon size and complexity. Projects will flex to meet business demand.
Will manage up to 8 project managers.
Delivery budget in the range of 50M or $75M.
Knowledge & Experience Required:

Relevant Industry certification (e.g. Prince 2, PMI) desirable.
4 year College degree required.
Core Business Skills: A good extensiveknowledge of the business and IS strategy and drivers for the projects.
Demonstrate the application of National Grid values in all interactions with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
Demonstrate the Valued Business Partner capabilities and behaviors in all interactions with IS Colleagues, vendors and business stakeholders.
Has proven leadership, relationship, communication and presentation skills. A good track record of delivering projects.
Understands National Grids policies, Management structures and reporting procedures for all aspects of the project?s environment.
Experience of project and Program delivery, with responsibility of scope Management.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Good stakeholder Management and influencing skills at colleagues, partners / vendors & project sponsors.
A good extensive knowledge of the Program Management discipline.
Has the ability to influence and manage seniorstakeholders ? e.g. Program sponsors.
