Senior ASP.Net MVC developer - US Citizenship required

We are currently seeking a Senior ASP.Net Developer in Washington, DC to join our team supporting a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) servicing more than 6,000 users. Our Federal law enforcement customer is responsible for the vital mission of protecting the security of our nation and its people. In order to more effectively achieve its mission objectives, the agency must stay on the cutting edge of best-of-breed technologies in a high-paced, high-demand team environment.

Position requires: U.S. citizenship, ability to pass agency background check, ability to obtain Public Trust. All work must be performed on customer premises (no telework).

Experience/Education: BS/equiv + 10yrs experience or MS/equiv + 8yrs experience

Required skills:

  • Strong knowledge and use of C#, ASP.Net MVC and Entity Framework
  • Sufficient experience to develop an ASP.Net MVC/EF project from scratch if needed
  • Knowledge of ASP.Net Web API and best practices for developing web services
  • Knowledge of and use of common design patterns (repository, factory, fašade, or others)
  • Familiarity with Dependency Injection (any toolkit)
  • SQL (Oracle preferred, but any is acceptable)
  • HTML5 + CSS, Javascript,  jQuery use
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills when explaining technical content, as well as communicating with non-technical users
  • Experience working in an Agile (scrum, kaban or other) development environment

Desired skills:

  • TFS experience (manging user stories, tasks, version control, build/release management)
  • Kendo UI or another widget toolkit
  • Bootstrap or other CSS/responsive toolkit
  • Good at assisting or mentoring junior developers
